Greys are still all the rage in the décor world and we were inspired by vintage chalkboards that after years of work turn a powdery charcoal colour.
Charcoal is such a nice deep variety of grey that really works well when black’s too harsh.
The word falls nicely on the ear in winter and reminds us of fire places, overcast weather, art work done in charcoal, stately grey suits and even river pebbles.
